Pride and Spiritual Growth: Why Letting Go Is Necessary to Evolve

We create great things, and in doing so, become greater versions of ourselves — in that process, we are our own greatest teacher. But embodying that wisdom, through real inner growth, asks us to move past what once was and embrace what now is.

I had a revelation about my own growth — and my pride — in meditation this morning.

The Nudge I Couldn't Ignore

For a while now, I've felt a subtle knowing in my heart, my intuition, gently guiding me away from some of my previous practices. I wasn't sure how to move forward with this information.

I recently stepped back into the role of a guide after taking two years away for self-evaluation and growth. That growth expanded my awareness, my clarity, and my vision — and with it came nudges to adjust some of my earlier work, offerings, and understandings.

At the same time, looking at nearly two decades of work and content, I started to question those nudges. I reasoned with them, doubted them, and wondered if they were coming from a deep-seeded belief rather than truth.

But it was my heart talking to me.

We all do this at times — doubt, deny, and push away our own inner wisdom. Even those of us who seem to have it all figured out. But when we've done the work to truly know and trust ourselves, it becomes easier to return to heart-led intuition in these moments.

A Stowaway in My Field

During that same meditation, I detected a "stowaway" within my energy field. Entities are often drawn to, and may attach to, light forms they can use as an energy source — which is exactly why spiritual hygiene is so essential for sovereignty. These energies can and do effect our energy bodies and energy centers.

This wasn't a coincidence. It was part of the larger innerstanding I received that morning.

Using my skills as a spirit releasement therapist, I helped this entity, which in this case was an earthbound spirit, move on from my energy field to the place that would support them in their highest and greatest way. This process can be timely as it depends on the intentions and energy of the entity.

Afterwards, I accessed my Akashic records for further insight on how to move forward.

The Message: Pride and Spiritual Growth

I received one clear word: pride.

I sat with it, and let the message unfold. The takeaway was simple: Don't let pride get in the way of growth and expansion.

Sounds simple, doesn't it? Common sense, even. But this wasn't pride in the everyday sense — the ego-driven kind we're taught to watch for.

This was something more delicate, and harder to see in ourselves: the pride of attachment. Attachment to what we've built over time, to work that once felt like an extension of who we were.

That's the pride I was being shown. Not arrogance — attachment.

My work was a marker to how far I'd come on my self-trust journey. To how far I'd come with speaking my truth and sharing my perspectives.

But an important reminder came to the forefront. My work isn't a measure of who I truly am. It's something I do.

This is the real relationship between pride and spiritual growth: the reluctance to let go of a version of our work, our beliefs, even ourselves, simply because we built it because it once fit us so well. How often do we actually sit with real honesty and reflect on the ideologies, outcomes, and systems we've created — willing to see where they no longer serve who we're becoming?

Something shifted in my thinking immediately. It didn't matter that I have changes to make.

In fact, this is what the journey is all about. Growth equals change, and I choose to embrace it.

What This Means Going Forward

Moving forward, my work will lean more deeply into the concepts of awareness, discernment, sovereignty, entities and their influence. These are the core teachings I've continued to receive along my awakening and remembering path, tied directly to state-of-being and the new earth experience — the overarching fundamental lesson of ascension in this cycle — for me and those on this same frequency.

I know this won't resonate with everyone, and that's okay. But if it rings true for you, you'll likely feel drawn to my energy and content. And I'm excited and honoured to venture with you!

In Closing

It's okay to let your message shift alongside your beliefs. That shift is a reflection of real, deep growth. Detaching from what we've built — even the parts that once felt inseparable from who we are — and stepping into who we're actually becoming will always draw more alignment toward you.

What once was got me here. What now is will take me further. That's not a loss of who I was — it's proof I was paying attention.
